Daylight Savings Time!
I am looking out at my garden, the beauty of fall has long ended leaving only bare trees, leaves on the ground, and a few geraniums still in bloom. I’m also looking back at the past year. Again we have all seen significant changes in terms of the economy, the climate, the political stage (world-wide, nationally, provincially, and municipally). While we experience feelings of joy, happiness and a sense of fulfillment with positive changes in our lives, we also unfortunately experience emotions of sadness, unhappiness, stress, and loss when there are negative events in our lives. One must step back, take stock of the situation, regroup, move forward, and do not look back. While I do feel a tinge of sadness at this time of year when “shutting down the garden”, the shorter days, the snow, ice, and sleet, I do look forward to the arrival of Spring and “renewing the garden.” My advice is to be positive, take one step at a time, be grateful for the good things you have in your life, the things you have achieved, and set goals for yourself for the New Year! Spring Ahead!
